Messages for your circle

Stay connected with your people.

Message family, friends and neighbours with PYRSA. Use the internet every day, and add a compatible radio for another way to message without internet access.

PYRSA – chat and contacts
A familiar conversation.

Simply together

For the people who matter to you.

Your conversations

Message individual contacts or chat together in your circle.

Easy to invite

Share a link with the people you want to include.

Add a radio if you like

Compatible radios give you another way to send messages.

One chat. Two ways.

Connected every day. Prepared for more.

Write as you normally would. PYRSA uses the available connections.

No extra device needed

Over the internet

Via Wi-Fi or mobile data, using several independent delivery points rather than one central server. If one goes down, others can carry your messages. No radio needed.

An optional addition

Another way: radio

Short text messages without internet access – with compatible radios and an available radio path.

More about radios

Radio depends on range, reachable devices and power. Photos and files need internet access.

Decentralised by design

More ways to connect. Less dependence on one place.

Imagine your post could arrive through several mailboxes. If one is unavailable, others can help. PYRSA distributes internet delivery across multiple servers, rather than depending on just one.

Distributed, not all in one place

Several delivery points carry messages. One server going down does not have to stop everything.

Content stays protected

Delivery points carry encrypted messages. They do not need to know what your messages say.

Radio as another way

Compatible radios can carry short texts without internet access, provided a radio path is available.

A closer look: what does decentralised mean in PYRSA?

PYRSA uses multiple independent message stores for internet delivery. Messages are encrypted on the device before they are sent. Delivery points store and forward encrypted content; authorised recipients decrypt it on their devices.

  • Delivery does not depend exclusively on one server.
  • The internet and optional radio connection are different transport paths. The app merges duplicate messages received through different paths.
  • Decentralised does not mean infrastructure is unnecessary: internet access, reachable delivery points or radios, and power are still needed.

Reliability depends on the available network and development status. Decentralisation does not guarantee delivery of every message.
